AIG shares trade up 8% after latest quarterly earnings beat

Shares in AIG were up more than 8 percent in trading in New York this morning after the insurer reported another quarterly earnings beat and its CEO gave a bullish outlook for its general insurance business and the group’s path towards achieving an adjusted double-digit return on capital employed.
