RenRe’s O’Donnell: 1.1 was more similar to post-9/11 renewal than 2006
The 1.1 renewals were similar to the post-9/11 renewals, RenaissanceRe CEO Kevin O'Donnell has commented, with the executive also suggesting that reinsurers’ losses from Hurricane Ian and Winter Storm Elliott would be much lower were they to occur this year, with the latter “almost fully retained” by insurers.
