Lebanese officials issue conflicting insured loss estimates for Beirut explosion

The Association of Insurance Companies of Lebanon (ACAL) has said insured losses for the Beirut port explosion stand at $1.5bn, down from the $7.5bn estimate president Elie Torbey had reportedly previously issued.
